After Lok Sabha member Parvesh Sahib Singh, Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta has also urged Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to remove loudspeakers from religious and other places as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court. Late on Monday evening, Gupta wrote a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Gupta said, “The people of Delhi are suffering from noise pollution caused by loudspeakers. When loudspeakers have been removed in many states on the orders of the Supreme Court, why is the Delhi government not doing anything about it. We demand Chief Minister Kejriwal to remove the loudspeaker.”
Sharing the letter to Kejriwal on his Twitter, Gupta said, “Wrote to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today and urged to remove loudspeakers from all religious and other places as per Supreme Court order. Due to noise pollution, children, elderly, Patients and people working in offices have to face difficulties every day.”
Earlier, Lok Sabha member from West Delhi Parvesh Sahib Singh wrote to the Lieutenant Governor (L-G), Municipal Commissioners and Police Commissioner of Delhi, asking them to take action against loudspeakers violating the Supreme Court order at religious places in the city. Was.
“As per the Supreme Court order, loudspeakers at all religious places should either be removed or lowered so that the sound is heard within the campus and especially for students, critically ill patients and people in the neighbourhood. Don’t disturb the peace.”
He said that the Uttar Pradesh government has properly followed the order of the Supreme Court and other states need to do the same. Verma wrote in the letter, “You are requested to give necessary instructions to the concerned officers on the lines of the Uttar Pradesh government, so that there can be a peaceful atmosphere among the people.”
