New Delhi. The names of the panel of candidates have been finalized for the 3 seats that Congress got after the alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. According to sources, a panel of 3 names has been made for each seat in the Congress Election Committee meeting. The three names being discussed from Chandni Chowk include the names of Sandeep Dixit, JP Aggarwal and Alka Lamba. In which Sandeep Dixit’s name is at the forefront. The names of Rajkumar Chauhan, Udit Raj and Surendra Kumar are included from North West Delhi.
According to sources, it was told that in the Congress Election Committee meeting, party president Kharge is in favor of Udit Raj. But some CEC members said that if there are old Congressmen then why should preference be given to someone coming from outside. Arvinder Lovely’s name is included in the panel from North East Delhi seat. But when questions were raised on Udit Raj, Lovely said that she also has to contest elections. I don’t mind if someone else fights. After which in the discussion, the matter of fielding Kanhaiya Kumar in front of Manoj Tiwari came up. Therefore, the final decision on both the seats was left to the Congress President. The names of the candidates can be announced tomorrow.
