Society was besieged for not getting loan waiver
Amba. According to the announcement of loan waiver made by the Kamal Nath government, hundreds of farmers belonging to Amba Seva Co-operative Society got angry and gheraoed the society under the leadership of Virendrasinh Solanki, former vice-president of the district panchayat, due to non-waiver of loan despite coming in the eligibility criteria. By shouting loud slogans, outside the institution, with the farmers, they called for answers from the head of the society.
Solanki said that maximum members in service cooperative organization Amba belong to Scheduled Tribes. These poor farmers are being deliberately neglected by the BJP government.
It is worth noting that a total amount of 2 crore 68 lakh 95 thousand 185 was to be waived by the Kamal Nath government of 792 eligible members of the organization, who were eligible for being due farmers as per the announcement of the government on March 31, 2018, but Amba Under the Seva Co-operative Society, the loan of only 458 farmers was waived worth Rs 59 lakh 96 thousand 885 and till date no proper reason has been given for not waiving the loans of the remaining farmers. Discrimination against farmers is causing resentment among all.
