Every year, children work very hard to get promoted to the next class after studying. In such a situation, their hard work can be wasted if they study from fake books. Know how to know whether a book is real or fake-
1- Whatever book you are buying, check 8 pages continuously. You will see NCERT Watermark on every other page. But if the bookmark is missing then your book may be pirated i.e. fake.
2- Check the quality of every book. Are the pages torn, how is its print quality, whether the graphs or pictures are clear or not. If any of these are missing then there is a possibility that your book is fake.
3- Also keep in mind that no book seller is allowed to sell NCERT textbooks more than the printed rate. Therefore, do not buy books by paying high prices. Do not buy stitched or re-bound books. If there is shortage of NCERT books in the market then wait for a while.

Reading fake books of NCERT or any other publication can cause many disadvantages, about which you must be aware-
1- The future of students is being spoiled by selling fake books.
2- Poor quality paper and ink are used to print these fake books. Therefore they are considered harmful for the health and eyes of the students.
3- Buying fake books without checking them properly promotes black market and piracy.
