Salian’s parents said – action should be taken against those who defame
Let us inform that Disha Salian’s parents met the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) chief in Mumbai on Wednesday and demanded action against Union Minister Narayan Rane, his son Nitish and others. Disha’s parents Vasanti and Satish Salian met Women’s Commission chief Rupali Chakankar at the commission’s office in suburban Bandra and expressed their grief over reports of ongoing defamation about their late daughter, an official said. Disha’s parents say that Disha was under pressure of work, hence committed suicide.
No confirmation of rape in autopsy report
Maharashtra State Commission for Women Chairperson Rupali Chakankar, while giving a statement in this case, said that according to the autopsy report, Disha was not raped and she was not even pregnant. Chakankar said that Disha Salian’s parents should take action against Union Minister Narayan Rane, MLA Nitesh Rane and all concerned for giving false and defamatory information about Disha’s death in this regard. Chakankar appealed through Twitter that lakhs of fake accounts created on social media in connection with Salian’s death should be closed and false information about him should be removed immediately. Rupali Chakankar made another demand that Disha’s parents be provided security as their lives are in danger.
On June 8, 2020, Disha committed suicide by jumping from the building.
Disha Salian, 28, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a high-rise building in suburban Malad on June 8, 2020, six days before 34-year-old Sushant Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in suburban Bandra.
