Rishabh Chaurasia/Lucknow: In today’s time, diapers have become the first choice of every parent. Especially when it comes to protecting children from wetness. Be it the time of going out of the house, any function or just giving the babies a good night’s sleep, diapers have made a special place for themselves.
However, every coin has two sides and diaper use is no exception to this. Despite the countless benefits of diapers, they also have some negative effects, which can take a toll on children’s health. Lucknow’s famous child specialist Dr. Sanjay Niranjan says that it is hygienic to make the child wear diapers. Due to this, not only the child remains clean, but the area around him, bed, clothes etc. also remain clean. Apart from this, it is also convenient for the mother. Because the diaper does not have to be cleaned, it is disposed of directly.
Diapers harm the baby
Diapers are made of chemical and synthetic materials and wearing them for a long time causes harm to the child. In such a situation, the chemicals present in it enter the body through the delicate skin of the child and cause toxicity. Whereas the material used to make the diaper helps in absorbing the urine of the child. But this material also prevents air from getting inside the baby’s diaper, due to which bacteria and germs start growing in the diaper and the baby becomes at risk of infection. Therefore, keep changing the baby’s diaper frequently.
Rashes and blisters may occur
Children’s skin is very sensitive. Staying in a wet, dirty diaper for a long time causes bacteria to grow in the diaper, which can cause rashes and blisters on the skin. In such a situation, to protect the child from rashes, keep changing the child’s diaper from time to time and also take care of its cleanliness.
Do not keep in diaper for 24 hours
According to Dr. Sanjay Niranjan, the use of diapers is suitable mainly for small children. Because newborn babies pass stool and urine several times a day. If the diaper becomes wet or starts filling, it should be changed immediately. Do not wait until you urinate two or three times. After potty, change the diaper immediately and clean the area of the child’s feces and urine with wet cotton from front to back. Before wearing a diaper, do not forget to use some oil or moisturizer. At the same time, do not keep the child wearing a diaper for 24 hours.
