Ayodhya. The Ram temple built in Ayodhya is going to have an impact on the politics of the entire country. Is there no challenge for BJP here? Does BJP want to cross the electoral hurdle with the help of Ayodhya? After knowing, it is said that after the construction of the temple, its wave effect is expected to be in favor of BJP. If we look at the data of election results, then since the independence of the country, till now the Congress party has captured the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat the most. Congress has won this seat seven times, while the second place Bharatiya Janata Party has won this seat five times.
This time BJP has expressed confidence in its two-time MP Lallu Singh. Whereas SP had opened its account here in 1998. Since then victory could not be achieved. This time he has fielded his nine-time MLA Awadhesh Prasad. He comes from Dalit community. Presently he is SP MLA from Milkipur assembly of Ayodhya district. BSP has also tasted victory once in 2004. This time Sachchidanand Pandey has been made in-charge here. Congress will support only SP.
Political experts say that the atmosphere has changed in Faizabad and Ayodhya since the consecration program of Ram temple. In this changed environment, Hindutva politics seems to be dominating. After the construction of the temple, this is being discussed everywhere. Now along with BJP, SP and BSP, Congress is also ready for the battle of 2024. This time, Congress and SP are in alliance, while BJP and BSP are in the election field alone.
Regarding Faizabad seat, it is said that there are around 84 percent Hindu voters here, out of which 26 percent are OBC, there also the number of Yadavs is said to be around 13 percent. 13 percent votes of Muslim community also come from Faizabad. There are five assembly seats in Ayodhya Lok Sabha constituency. Out of five assembly seats, BJP won on Ayodhya, Rudauli and Bikapur and Samajwadi Party won on Gosainganj and Milkipur (reserved) seats. BJP had won all the seats in the 2017 assembly elections.
Vikas, who runs a tea stall near Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya, says that after the construction of the temple here, the matter has become one-sided. No one will question SP and other parties. Its effect will be seen in the entire country because the crowd coming here from all over the country is testifying to this.

Ramprakash Mishra, the priest of the ghat, said, “There is casteism in the elections, but the people of Ayodhya will vote only in the name of Ram. In Ayodhya, sages, saints, mahatmas, Brahmins, Thakurs, businessmen will all vote for BJP. Will give in the name of Modi.” Flower seller Jagroop says, BJP’s case is clear here. After the formation of BJP government at the Center and State, many development works have started in Ayodhya. Work has started on projects like canal from Guptar Ghat to Ayodhya, establishment of grand Ramamurti and new Ayodhya.
Sailor Ramu Manjhi said that this government has done better work on issues like electricity, sewer, toilets, housing. Amodkant, who has been following the politics of Ayodhya closely, says that this time the impact of Ayodhya will be seen in the entire country. The Ram temple built here will prove to be a big link in the elections. This is an important issue in BJP’s fight which can easily take it to the pinnacle of power. The opposition is not seen contesting elections in that manner. Yes, Awadhesh Pratap has been MLA many times, he can be a big face of SP, but the results will tell how much acceptance he will get in the elections.
