Congress Party’s Donate for Country campaign
Congress has recently started this campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
Jaipur. Congress has started collecting money under the crowd funding ‘Donate for the Country’ campaign in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. For this, former Rajasthan Congress President Sachin Pilot has also handed over the donation check to party treasurer Ajay Maken on Monday. Pilot has contributed Rs 1 lakh 38 thousand for this. After contributing, Pilot wrote on his social media platform Facebook that democracy is the foundation of our country. It is our strength.
Pilot further said that Congress has always been dedicated to the protection and empowerment of democracy. Today I have contributed towards building a strong and inclusive democracy and a better future for the country. Appealing to the general public, he said that I request all of you to contribute in making this campaign run by the Congress Party historic for the national interest.
Kharge had recently launched the campaign
It is noteworthy that Congress has recently started the Donate for the Country campaign for crowd funding. Recently, party president Mallikarjun Kharge had started the campaign by donating Rs 1.38 lakh. This campaign was started on the 138th foundation day of Congress. In this, many other leaders including former party leader Rahul Gandhi have contributed. According to party sources, more than 1,13,700 people contributed in the first 48 hours of this campaign. The party got a total of Rs 2.81 crore from it.
Pilot has been elected MLA from Tonk for the second time
Sachin Pilot has been elected MLA from Tonk for the second time in the recently held assembly elections. After that, Pilot has been made the Congress in-charge of Chhattisgarh state in the reshuffle that took place in the Congress organization a day earlier. Pilot has also been an MP from Dausa and Ajmer in the past. He is a popular face of Rajasthan Congress.
