If you want to avoid and treat many health problems along with keeping your body cool in summer, then you must drink sugarcane juice. But be careful, adding ice to sugarcane juice is harmful. But along with the benefits of drinking sugarcane juice, it is also important to know when is the right time to consume it. We talked to an Ayurveda expert about the benefits of drinking sugarcane juice and the right time to drink it.
Dr. Nagendra Narayan Sharma told that sugarcane juice is delicious and drinking it gives instant energy to your body. In summer, sweat and scorching sun takes away all the strength of the body and dehydrates it. In such a situation, fresh sugarcane juice refreshes the body and provides energy. Sugarcane juice is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and is good for the liver. Besides, it contains a lot of fiber which also cleans the intestines. Therefore, jaundice patients are advised to consume sugarcane juice. If your digestive system is weak, then you should drink sugarcane juice. Potassium present in sugarcane juice balances the pH level in the stomach. Nutrients like sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron are found in sugarcane juice.
When should one drink sugarcane juice?
Dr. Nagendra Narayan Sharma told that it is good to consume sugarcane juice on an empty stomach before breakfast. Also, it should be consumed only after two-three hours of having lunch. Consuming sugarcane juice as per the rules helps in keeping the body healthy. When we drink ice water straight after coming from the hot sun, this water does not match the temperature of the body. Due to this the body temperature deteriorates. Due to which we start falling ill. It spoils our digestive system. If the ice is not made with clean water or if the water is dirty then there is a risk of contracting Hepatitis A and E virus.
