Asra houses were built under the departmental scheme in Dungarpur during the SP government. Some houses were already built at this place. Which were demolished in the year 2016 on the grounds that they were on government land. When the BJP government came to power in the year 2019, more than a dozen separate cases were registered in this matter in the Ganj police station. The allegation in these cases was that at the behest of Azam Khan in the SP government, the police and SP had forcibly vacated their houses to build shelter houses. It is noteworthy that Azam Khan has been convicted in five cases so far. He was also sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment five months ago in the fake birth certificate case of his son Abdullah Azam. In that case he is lodged in Sitapur jail.
