Netherlands MP Geert Wilders, who supported BJP leader Nupur Sharma, who made controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammed, has been receiving death threats from members of the Muslim community.
Giving information on the threats being received for supporting Nupur Sharma, MP Wilders tweeted and wrote that I now get threats to kill many people from Muslims, who want to kill me for supporting Nupur. Huh. He has said nothing but the truth about Mohammad and Ayesha. My only message to such people is that you will go to hell. You guys have no morals. We stand by the truth. We stand with freedom.
Earlier, Wilders supported Nupur Sharma by tweeting that why India should apologize on the whole issue? He tweeted, “It is ridiculous that Arab and Islamic countries are asking India to apologize. Why should India apologize?” The Dutch MP wrote in another tweet, “Appeasement never works. It will only make things worse. So my dear friends of India, don’t be afraid of Islamic countries.”
Commenting on Wilders’ tweet, a Twitter user named M. Salahuddin (@Slahuddinoffic1) wrote, “Non-believers please do not insult or blaspheme our religion. We love Prophet Muhammad more than our children and family. We are always ready to lay down our lives for the honor of Prophet Muhammad.”
Commenting on Mohamed Hijab (@mohammed_hijab) said, “You (Gert Wilders) are empowering those who are threatening you by tweeting like this. This shows that you are an arrogant person. The general rule is that if you are willing to resist you must be ready to fight and if you are ready to fight you must be prepared to die. Stop complaining and be a man”
