EC has today issued show cause notices to BJP leader Dilip Ghosh and Congress leader Supriya Shrinet for their comments on women. The Election Commission has sent a notice to Supriya Shrinet because recently objectionable comments were made on Kangana Ranaut from Supriya Shrinet’s social media account. At the same time, notice has also been sent to BJP leader Dilip Ghosh because Ghosh had commented on Mamata Banerjee. BJP national president JP Nadda had also sought answers from Ghosh regarding this.
This comment was made on Kangana
Notice
Let us inform you that recently Congress leader Supriya Srinet had targeted Kangana Ranaut for becoming Mandi Lok Sabha candidate. He shared Kangana’s picture on his official social media account and wrote, “Can anyone tell what is the price going on in the market today?” Shortly after the post was made, people started trolling him for this comment, after which the Congress leader clarified and said that his account is used by many people and one of them has done this. Let us tell you that BJP has fielded Kangana Ranaut by giving her ticket from Mandi Lok Sabha.
Ghosh had made controversial remarks
At the same time, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh had also made indecent remarks on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Ghosh said that Mamata Banerjee sometimes calls herself the daughter of Goa and sometimes calls herself the daughter of Tripura. In such a situation, Mamata Banerjee should tell who is her father? It is not right to be anyone’s daughter like this. After this statement, TMC linked it to women’s identity and talked about complaining to the Election Commission. BJP had also sought Ghosh’s reply regarding this statement.
