The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced by-elections on 13 assembly seats in 7 states. The elections will be held on July 10 and the counting of votes will be done on July 13. The states where elections are to be held include Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. According to the Election Commission, the notification for the seats where elections will be held will be issued on June 14. The last date for filing nominations will be June 21. Scrutiny of nominations will be done on June 24. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 26. In the elections to be held on July 10, votes will be cast on one assembly seat in Bihar, 4 seats in West Bengal, 1 in Tamil Nadu, 1 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Uttarakhand, 1 in Punjab, 3 seats in Himachal.
