Rameez Raj remembered the spot fixing incident in 2010
Said- Then I too had to feel embarrassed
New Delhi. PCB has brought back Pakistan’s tainted pacer Mohammad Aamir from retirement. Aamir has declared himself available for selection in the Pakistan team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. 31 year old Mohammad Aamir is the same bowler who was also jailed on match fixing charges. Former Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Rameez Raja is angry with the return of this tainted cricketer to Pakistan cricket. Raja says that there is no forgiveness for the despicable act that Aamir has done. Rameez, who is currently playing the role of a commentator, even said that if his son was found involved in fixing or involved in any activity that brought shame to cricket, he would not have forgiven him.
When Ramiz Raja was asked a question about Mohammad Amir in a conversation with a Pakistani channel, he said, ‘My belief about Mohammad Amir is that he should not be allowed to play for Pakistan again. Of course, it is not my responsibility to improve the ethical standards of cricket, but the society and the fans need to understand that when he did fixing, I too had experienced it. I was doing commentary at Lord’s at that time. Those things are still fresh in my mind when I was hated. Because people thought that I was also associated with that team. Aamir was playing for Pakistan.

Aamir was found guilty of spot fixing in 2010
Mohammad Amir, along with Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt, was found guilty of spot-fixing in the Test match against England in 2010. After this Aamir was banned from international cricket for 5 years. He had to spend many nights behind bars. After serving the sentence and facing the ban, Aamir returned to cricket in 2016 but since then he has had to face criticism. Raja says that if any cricketer in the world is tainted, he is out. In my view he cannot get forgiveness.
