The Congress leader said that electoral politics is constantly being influenced by social media companies. Significantly, in the recent assembly elections of 5 states including UP, Congress has to face a crushing defeat. In UP, the party got only 2 seats, while in Punjab it was out of power and lost both the seats till state president Navjot Singh Sidhu, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Priyanka Gandhi had stood for a long time in UP too, but her campaign did not seem to be working.
