Facebook has launched its short video platform Reels in 150 countries. Meta has given this information through the blog. Meta has recently been out of the list of 10 most valuable companies in the world, after which the company’s full focus is on content.
Meta launched Reels with Instagram in 2020 after the closure of Tiktok in India. “Reel is already our fastest growing content format ever, and today we’re making it available to everyone on Facebook,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Meta has said that it will also introduce new features for creators to earn. According to meta, reels users will get bonus. Apart from this, advertisements will be shown in the middle of the video which will be in the form of banners and stickers. Full screen advertisements in the reels will also be released soon.
Facebook users will also get to see the reels soon. There is a possibility that Reels may be launched instead of Facebook’s Stories feature. Users can also get to see reels in the news feed as a suggestion.
New tools for editing
- Remix: You’ll be able to make remixes with any video. The remix reels will include the entirety of the second video.
- 60 Seconds Reels: Users will now get a chance to create up to 60 second reels.
- Drafts: Reels users will soon get a chance to draft. After the new update, the option of Save As Draft will be available with the save button.
- Video Clipping: Video clipping feature will be available in the next few months, which will help in publishing videos in different formats.
