Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the government
Targeting the Modi government, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘The Agriculture Minister had said in response to a question on November 30 that he did not have any data of farmers killed in the farmers’ agitation. I want to give this data to you and want that farmers should get the rights and their families should get compensation.
Rahul Gandhi said, “The Punjab government has so far given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to 400 farmers. While 152 farmers have been given government jobs.
Rahul Gandhi said,70 farmers of Haryana have been killed in the agitation against three agricultural laws. I am presenting this list in the House. The government is saying that no one has died, it should apologize to the farmers.
Rahul Gandhi forward said“Farmers have been protesting on Delhi border since last 12 months in which 700 farmers have given their lives. We want to provide justice to the farmers and discuss other issues.
During this, the Congress leader also demanded an official statement from the central government on this issue. After this, NCP and DMK walked out of the house in protest against the government.
What did the government say?
Let us inform that the government was asked in the Lok Sabha whether the government has any data on how many farmers died during the agitation. In response to this, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had said that the Ministry of Agriculture does not have any such data as to how many farmers were killed in the farmers’ agitation. So the question of any kind of compensation does not arise. Even then the opposition had opposed this statement of the government.
