CM Yogi was addressing the people present on the occasion of Holika Dahan procession organized by Holika Dahan Utsav Committee in Pandeyhata on Sunday evening. He said that when we become active for the welfare of the country in the spirit of unity, the joy and enthusiasm of festivals is enjoyed forever. Describing Holika Dahan and Holi as a festival of joy and victory of truth, justice and religion, the Chief Minister said that where there is devotion, power automatically comes. This coordination of devotion and power is seen in the form of Holika Dahan. The message implicit in Holika Dahan is that no matter how powerful the unjust and oppressor is, his end is certain. Holika Dahan is a festival to commemorate the Narasimha incarnation of Lord Vishnu to protect the devotee Prahlad who was following the right path and the destruction of the unjust Hiranyakashyap and Holika.
Whenever there is injustice, it is sure to burn.
The Chief Minister said that the burning of Holika, a symbol of evil, also gives the message that whenever there is injustice or discrimination, its burning is certain. The burning of Holika and the killing of Hiranyakashipu are part of the same tradition in which we also burn the effigy of unjust Ravana every year. Sakal Sanatani celebrates its heritage of thousands of years with enthusiasm and zeal. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people regarding Holika Dahan and Holi that no such action should be taken which hampers the excitement and enthusiasm. There should be no conflict anywhere.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that festivals like Holi are a heritage of thousands of years. We cherish the period of Satyayug which the world does not even know about and hand it over to the next generation. It is our responsibility to preserve the heritage and maintain the sanctity of the traditions on the festival. CM Yogi praised the Holika Dahan Utsav Committee for the fact that this committee has been moving forward by preserving the heritage for 97 years.
