In early August, FIFA warned AIFF of suspension for third party interference. But now he said in the statement that the decision of this suspension has been taken after everyone’s consent.
Why was this decision taken?
“The Bureau of the FIFA Council has unanimously decided to suspend the All India Football Federation (AIFF) with immediate effect for undue influence of third parties, which is against the rules of FIFA,” FIFA said. FIFA said regarding the suspension, “The suspension will be lifted only when the decision to replace the AiFF Executive Committee with the Committee of Administrators is withdrawn and the AiFF administration will be given full control of the day-to-day affairs of the federation.” FIFA suspended the All India Football Federation with immediate effect. FIFA has suspended the Football Federation of India due to third party interference. Now due to the suspension of All India Football Federation, the country will not even host the Under-17 Women’s World Cup to be held from October 11-30.
