New Delhi. This is the first time that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit India on his first foreign trip after the start of the war with Russia. He will reach India on a two-day visit from March 28. During this, he will meet his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar and Deputy NSA.
The news comes at a time when Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan has said that two of the four youths from Kerala who fought in the war against Ukraine will soon return to their families after being recruited into the Russian Army by private agencies. .
The Minister of State for External Affairs said on Tuesday evening that the Indian Embassy is preparing the travel documents of the youth for their return from Russia. Muraleedharan, candidate from Attingal Lok Sabha constituency, said, “We hope that he will return home soon.” Regarding the remaining two youth of the state, the Minister of State said that the Ministry of External Affairs is also talking to the Russian government for their return.
“Rest assured, we are taking concrete steps to ensure their return,” he said. He said that according to the family members of the three youth, a recruitment agency had taken them to Russia on the promise of a salary of Rs 2.5 lakh. Earlier, Muraleedharan had said that authorities have started investigating agencies that had recruited Indians to war-torn Ukraine by promising them well-paying jobs in Russia.
He had also said that the Central Government is making every possible effort for the return of all the Indians stranded in the war-affected area and the process of taking legal action against the agencies recruiting them is going on.
