Spent the whole night in a cramped room
Dilip Sanghani shared an anecdote, describing the quality of PM Modi’s way in every environment, in which he told that it was a matter of time when Narendra Modi reached an election campaign program in Amreli. After the program was over there, PM Modi spent the whole night with me in a room which was very cramped. There was not even a place to sit in that room, but still instead of staying in a hotel, he decided to spend the whole night in the same small room.
‘Catch the speed of 70-75’
Dilip Sanghani shared a similar anecdote when the PM ‘reprimanded’ him for driving slow. Dilip Sanghani said that something happened at that time that Narendra Modi used to go with my ambassador for election campaign, so I used to drive very carefully and at a slow speed. Narendra Bhai used to tell me about my slow driving, why do you drive so slow?… Staying at 30-40 speed we will not be able to reach everywhere. If we want to reach everywhere, then we should catch at least 70-75 speed. Hearing this from PM Modi, I (Dilip Sanghani) and the workers working with us were also happy. With this talk of the PM, the alertness for his party’s programs is clearly visible.
was not proud of his position
Dilip Sanghani further told about the simple nature of PM Modi that Narendra Modi has family relations with us. Even after becoming the PM of the country, he always keeps taking information about me and my family. Once when he (PM Modi) invited us to his residence for a meal with the whole family and I could not reply to him as I was busy with work, PM Modi called my wife and said that Dilip Kumar Too busy what, not answering. In such a situation, my wife told him that the younger daughter is studying in Mumbai. Because of this it is difficult to come now, so he said that it does not matter. Whenever the time is favorable according to the daughter, the family should come here. Even after becoming PM, he and we have the same relationship as it used to be.
