Maruti WagonR
Boxy hatchback which is still named first when it comes to sales, seems like Maruti’s WagonR managed to reach the masses despite all the issues of chip crisis in its new generation. According to the information, Maruti sold 19,729 units of WagonR last month, which is higher than 17,684 units sold in December 2020.
Maruti Swift
Maruti’s premium hatchback Swift continues to be second on the list. However, there has been a decline in sales as compared to December 2020. Last month, Maruti sold 15,661 units of Swift as against 18,131 units during the same period last year. The December sales figure improved slightly as compared to November, as Maruti sold 14,568 units of the Swift in November.
Maruti Baleno
Maruti is soon going to launch the facelift version of the premium hatchback Baleno, however, the current model is giving good returns in terms of sales to the carmaker. Last month, Maruti sold 14,458 units of Baleno, while in November only 9,931 units of Baleno were sold.

Tata Nexon
Tata Motors added its name to the list last year as India’s second largest carmaker, surpassing Hyundai Motor. A big part of Tata’s success last month can be attributed to its subcompact SUV Nexon. Tata sold 12,899 units of the Nexon in December, the highest ever. The sales performance of the Nexon has propelled the SUV to the fourth position in the list. On the other hand, Tata sold 9,831 units of Nexon in November, and only 6,835 units in December 2020.

Maruti Ertiga
Maruti sold 11,840 units of the Ertiga in the MPV segment last month, up from 9,177 units sold in the same month last year. According to the information, this figure is higher than in November last year, as Maruti sold 8,752 units of Ertiga in November.
