Uttar Pradesh News Desk: At around 9 am in the morning at Polytechnic intersection of Purani Basti police station area on four lane, a truck crushed a fruit seller crossing the road. The police sent the seriously injured person to the district hospital in an ambulance. He was declared dead as soon as he reached here. Outpost in-charge Hadiya Ashutosh Shukla, who reached the information, took possession of the truck and the driver was taken into custody and sent to Purani Basti police station.
Ramswaroop Sonkar (65), son of late, resident of Surtihatta of police station area. Ramautar used to run a fruit shop near the railway station. Just when they were crossing the road at Polytechnic intersection, when they reached the road leading to Gaura, a truck loaded with goods from Gorakhpur and going towards Utraula hit them.
Ramswaroop was seriously injured after coming under the wheels of the truck. The people present at the intersection immediately called the police and ambulance and the injured were sent to the district hospital. Due to his death, his wife Genda Devi, sons Rajkumar Sonkar, Jagdish Sonkar, Sanjay Sonkar, grandsons Ankit, Manish, Karan and Anuj Sonkar were in sad condition.
Outpost in-charge Hadiya said that a case will be registered after receiving the complaint.
Student seriously injured in road accident
A student who was going from his home to study coaching was seriously injured in a road accident.
