Mandsaur. The Women and Child Development Department is starting the Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav campaign from March 7 to provide regular education to school-aged girls. The main objective of the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign is to identify and enroll girls in schools in the age group of 11 to 14 years. The overall goal of the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign, launched in the year 2015, is to celebrate the birth of a girl child and educate and enable them. There is also a provision of providing protein, calorie-rich take-home ration to school-aged adolescent girls for 300 days by the Department of Women and Child Development. Survey of Anganwadi centers is being conducted by the department every year in April. In this, information is being collected of adolescent girls aged 11 to 14 who have dropped out of school or have never attended school. Take home ration is being given to all these girls.

Aparajita martial arts training to teenage girls from today
Mandsaur. From March 8, International Women’s Day, martial arts training will be given to teenage girls in the Aparajita program. Director Women and Child Development Dr. RR Bhonsle has informed that 150 teenage girls of each district will be given 10 days training in Judo, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing and Wrestling in the program. Dr. Bhonsle informed that a ten-day martial arts training program would be held at the district level in coordination with the Department of Sports and Women and Child Development. All the District Program Officers of the Women and Child Development Department, in coordination with the District Sports Officers, will start the training from March 8 and ensure the attendance of the selected girls in the training session. After the training, all the participants will be given a certificate under the joint signature of the District Program Officer and the District Sports Officer. Adolescent girls from Shaurya Dal and Balika Grih will also be included in the training camp.
