Panaji. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday hit out at Aam Aadmi Party co-founder and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for granting tax-free status to Vivek Agnihotri-directed Bollywood film “The Kashmir Files”. A day after the Delhi Chief Minister rejected the demand to declare the film tax-free in the national capital, his Goa counterpart said the refusal to declare the film tax-free was an insult to the victims of terrorism in Kashmir.
“Kejriwal’s statement is inhuman and an insult to those who faced atrocities at the hands of terrorists in Kashmir,” Sawant said on Twitter.
He said, “While Kejriwal’s government has waived tax for many Bollywood films in the past, they refused to do the same for Kashmir Files and went a step further and ridiculed the film, which highlights the Kashmiri Hindu genocide. “
Sawant had last week announced tax-free status for the film in Goa after attending a special screening of the Anupam Kher starrer.
However, this is not the first time that the two Chief Ministers have had an altercation on Twitter. During the recently-concluded assembly elections, he was also having a tussle on social media.
