New Delhi. Team India is busy preparing vigorously for the T20 World Cup. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team won the T20 series against Afghanistan by winning two consecutive matches. Now both the teams will compete against each other in the last T20 at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Amidst this series, great news is coming about two explosive players of the Indian team. It is reported that Yashasvi Jaiswal and all-rounder Shivam Dubey are in the list of BCCI’s central contract.
On one hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal is seen capturing the opening with his batting in all three formats. On the other hand, in the first two T20 matches against Afghanistan, Shivam Dubey has made everyone crazy with his explosive batting. Dubey scored quick half-centuries in both the consecutive matches. Due to which, after the T20 World Cup, he can prove to be the best option after Hardik Pandya. According to a report in Times of India, Jaiswal and Dubey have impressed the Indian team management enough to earn their places in the central contract.
‘Selectors want Dubey to bowl more’
A BCCI source told The Times of India, ‘The selectors and the team management want Dubey to bowl more as it increases his importance as a player. This is the reason why he is bowling well during this series. If he can contribute with the ball in a few overs, he can secure his place in the team for the T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies and USA. This is important because he is an ideal backup for the injured Hardik Pandya.
