There is good news for the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi. Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday attended the recently elected Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board meeting and approved several proposals. In the coming days, devotees coming to visit Mata Vaishno Devi will get to see many facilities. Manoj Sinha said that Vaishno Devi will have many modern facilities like Sky Walk, New Durga Bhawan, Spiritual Theme Park, Radio Frequency Identification along with ropeway facility from Katra to Ardhkuanri.
Manoj Sinha said that every year the number of travelers coming to visit Mata Vaishno Devi from the country and abroad is increasing. Manoj Sinha reviewed all the projects related to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple and directed to build the new Durga Bhawan at the earliest. Travel Unique Management (Skywalk) is being built at a cost of Rs. 9.89 crore to prevent crowd gathering at the building. The total length of this project will be 160 to 170 meters and width will be 2.5 meters which will also include two rescue areas.
Approving the project of passenger ropeway, the board has asked the CEOs of ropeway companies to ensure that there is no lapse in the safety of the passengers. Apart from this, the Board has also accepted the Corporate Donation Policy keeping in mind that the entire income of the Shrine Board is run by the donations given by the devotees and development works are also done from that.
Manoj Sinha said that with the introduction of ropeway facility from Katra to Ardhkuanri, many passengers especially elderly passengers will get a lot of convenience. Apart from this, local traders will also get a lot of benefit from this. At present, there is a ropeway facility from Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan to Bhairo Mandir.
It is worth mentioning that every year lakhs of travelers from all over the country and abroad come to Katra to have darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi. Some time ago, for the convenience of the passengers, the railways had run a direct train till Katra. For the 14 km long journey of Mata Vaishno Devi, the board has also taken out a new route on which horses and mules do not walk. This route is very clean and full care has been taken for the convenience of the passengers.
