Recently WhatsApp was seen testing a new feature WhatsApp is testing a feature, after this update, users will be able to hide profile picture, last seen and status updates from their selected contacts.
The WhatsApp messaging app was recently spotted testing the same feature for the web version. This means that users will be able to hide their profile picture and last seen using WhatsApp Web. Reports have revealed that WhatsApp will first roll out this feature in Android and iOS apps.
This new feature will be added to WhatsApp Desktop soon:
For example, if you don’t want any of your contacts to see your profile photo, last seen updates, you can exclude them from the list and share your updates with other contacts. Wabetainfo has said in a report that beta testers cannot view and select “Accept My Contacts” on WhatsApp Web/Desktop even if the “Accept My Contacts” feature is already activated for their WhatsApp account. This feature is currently in the testing phase, there is no information about when it will come to the user.
New feature will also come for WhatsApp group admin:
WhatsApp is also testing a new feature that allows group admins to delete a message for everyone in the group. According to the WhatsApp feature tracker, when a message is deleted, it shows a message notification saying “It was deleted by an admin”. No matter how many admins there are in the group, they all have the right to delete messages for everyone.
The report states that the feature is yet to be launched for beta testers. This feature can be started next year in 2022. This feature works especially well if someone in the group posts something against the group’s interest, so the group admin can quickly remove the post.
