New Delhi. Google may soon launch its new phone in A series. The company will host Google I/O 2024 in May, where it may launch Google Pixel 8a with Android 15. This phone is expected to be launched with powerful features at a budget-friendly price. Even before the launch, some information about Pixel 8a has been revealed.
What is special in the design?
This will be a mid-range device from Google, which will be priced around Rs. 45,000. The leaked renders suggest that the phone will look a lot like the Google Pixel 8a. However, it will come with a matte finish rear panel, unlike the glossy finish rear panel seen on the Pixel 7a.
This phone will have slightly thicker bezels compared to the standard Pixel 8. The volume rocker and power button will be on the right side of the smartphone. Horizontal stripes will be present on the back, as seen in other Pixel phones. It will feature dual rear camera setup and an LED light. At present only the black color variant of this phone has been released.
What will be the specifications?
The Google Pixel 8a will feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This will be the first phone in the Pixel A series to have a screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It may come with the Tensor G3 processor, which is seen in other phones in the Pixel 8 series.
The brand may launch this device in two configurations: 128GB and 256GB storage. Google Pixel 8a may come with Android 14 out of the box. Additionally, the smartphone may sport a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The company can provide a 13MP front camera for selfies. To power the device, it may have a 4500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. It is expected that the company will launch this phone at the Google I/O 2024 event.
