New Delhi. PM Awas Yojana aims to provide housing facilities to persons living below the poverty line in India. The scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015, has facilitated the construction of lakhs of houses in both rural and urban areas. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible individuals for construction of pucca houses, with different amounts allocated for urban and rural beneficiaries. Urban individuals will get Rs. 2,50,000, while rural individuals are given Rs 1,20,000.
Its main objective is to ensure that all individuals have their own home for better living conditions and livelihood.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Awas Yojana
To avail the benefits of PM Awas Yojana, applicants must follow the following eligibility criteria..
• Must be a citizen of India.
• Must have ration card and must be below poverty line.
• Should not own more than five acres of land.
• No member of the family should benefit from a government job.
• Must have a bank account linked to Aadhaar number.

PMAY Installments:
• Beneficiaries receive financial assistance in three installments.
• First installment of Rs. Rs 25,000 is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s account to start housing construction.

• Financial assistance under PMAY is provided directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
• Applicants should ensure that their bank account details are accurate to avoid any issues in receiving benefits.

4. If you are a new user then login or register with your user ID and password.
