A team has been sent by the central government to evict Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan from the bungalow in Delhi. He is still living in the bungalow allotted in the name of his late father and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and has not been vacated even after being issued several notices. Sources informed about the team being sent by the central government on Wednesday. He said that the Directorate of Estates, which comes under the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has sent a team of officers to implement the eviction order issued to Chirag Paswan last year.
Officials said the bungalow at 12 Janpath has been earmarked for Union ministers and those living in the government residence have been asked to vacate it. The house has been the official address of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), which has now split into two factions between Chirag Paswan and his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras following the death of former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan. It was regularly used for organizing party organizational meetings and other related events. Chirag Paswan had said that the memories of his father are attached to this bungalow.
The Lok Janshakti Party has split into two factions. Chirag Paswan alone is now a part of LJP, who is a Lok Sabha MP. Apart from this, after the death of his father, he also suffered a setback in the Bihar assembly elections. In this election, he fought separately from the BJP and could not win a single seat.
