Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s praise of the film ‘Kashmir Ke Sach’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’ at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting, Farooq Abdullah said that if the government wants to bring out the truth, they should ask a retired Supreme Court judge for this. The whole incident should be investigated.
Farooq Abdullah said that every film has its own story and it is not necessary that every film is true, hence investigation is necessary to bring out the truth. He said that whatever happened in Kashmir, how did it happen? Why did it happen? Who did it ? It should be investigated. He also demanded opening of the file of Jagmohan, the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding to the Karnataka High Court’s decision on the hijab controversy, Farooq Abdullah said whether or not to wear a hijab is a personal matter and is considered an essential part of Islam in many countries.
