GT vs SRH: The 12th match of IPL 2023 was played between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Gujarat Titans won this match easily by seven wickets and registered their second win in IPL 2024. Thanks to the brilliant bowling of Mohit Sharma and the brilliant inning of 45 runs by Sai Sudarshan, Gujarat achieved the target of 163 runs with 5 balls remaining at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and won the match by 7 wickets.
After a defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their last game, Shubman Gill’s Titans were impressive with both bat and ball throughout the game. Sunrisers Hyderabad, which scored 204 and 277 runs in its first two matches this season, struggled to find rhythm despite a strong start and could score only 162 runs in this match. In this match too, it was expected that Hyderabad team would score 200+, but SRH batsmen could not do anything special in front of GT’s bowling.
How was the match?
In this match played between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first and SRH team, batting first, scored 162 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. During this, Abdul Samad and Abhishek Sharma scored the maximum 29 runs for Sunrisers. He had made a very good start, but due to wickets falling from time to time, his team could not reach a big score. During this, Mohit Sharma took three wickets from GT side, while Azmatullah, Umesh Yadav, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed took one wicket each.
During the run chase in the second innings, there was a huge responsibility on the bowlers of Sunrisers Hyderabad, but they performed very disappointingly. GT’s batsmen also took advantage of this. For SRH, only Pat Cummins, Mayank Markande and Shahbaz Ahmed could take wickets. Whereas for GT, Sai Sudarshan played an inning of 45 runs and David Miller played an inning of 44 runs.
