Gwalior Chamber of Commerce News: Gwalior, New Dunia Rep. The Chamber of Commerce has lodged an objection with a strong demand that there should be no increase in the Collector’s guideline. Objections have been sent to Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, MP Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, District Collector and Chairman, District Evaluation Committee and Senior District Registrar.
Chamber of Commerce President Vijay Goel, Joint President Prashant Gangwal, Vice President Paras Jain, Mansevi Secretary Dr. Praveen Aggarwal, Mansevi Joint Secretary Brajesh Goyal and Treasurer-Basant Aggarwal told that the collector guideline was reduced by the Chief Minister and announced this. It was said that there would be no increase in the collector guideline for the next three years, while the District Evaluation Committee has proposed an increase of 20 percent in the collector guideline for the year 2022-23, which should be withdrawn. The Chamber has sent a total of 11 objections and suggestions.
This sent objection and suggestion:
Due to COVID, the whole of India including Gwalior is facing adverse conditions of trade and industry and real estate is such a business that if it flourishes then our growth rate increases.
In the collector guideline of the district, discrepancy has already been kept in comparison to Bhopal and Indore. The commercial rate which is Rs 13 thousand per square meter in Bhopal and Indore and 25 thousand per square meter in our place. The point to be considered here is that when the District Evaluation Committee does the work of improving the Collector’s guideline, then why does it not pay attention to such points and it is the result of similar reasons that Gwalior city is lagging behind in comparison to Bhopal-Indore.
When claims and objections are sought from the public by the District Evaluation Committee, only the format of the proposed guideline is given, due to which comparative study is not possible. In such a situation, there can be no real objection.
