Gwalior Crime News: Gwalior, New Dunia representative. Online thugs blew 83 thousand 546 rupees from the account by pretending to supply snacks to the salty trader in the army canteen. Crime Branch has registered a case of fraud against unknown thugs on the complaint of businessman Bharat Bhushan Dwivedi. Police is trying to reach the thugs through mobile number and Paytm account.
Bharat Bhushan Dwivedi, a resident of Jawahar Singh’s Paiga New Road, has a salty business. On March 3, an unknown person called on his mobile. The person calling himself as an officer of the army said that the salty has to be supplied in the army canteen today itself. Payment will be made as soon as the ordered Namkeen is delivered. On getting a chance to supply snacks in the army canteen, the merchant reached MH intersection Murar with the goods. Calling on the same number, the merchant told that he has brought the salty of the order.
Scan QR code for payment sent to: The caller said to first send your Paytm account details for payment. After that scanned by sending a QR code and asked to enter the password of the account. After completing both the procedures, money was withdrawn from his account. After that tried to call that number again but did not receive the call. The Crime Branch has registered a case and started investigation.
After cheating, the police got 80 thousand rupees back: Prashant P Wakdkar had complained that he had applied to the Income Tax Department for amendment in his PAN card. Income Tax Department informed that PAN card is being sent to them through courier service. Searched the customer care number of the courier service on Google and called. The caller blew 90 thousand rupees from his account by downloading quick support. ASP Rajesh Dandoutia said that when the complainant immediately complained, the crime branch station in-charge Damodar Gupta broke the transaction of the money transferred from the complainant’s account to the e-wallet. After which 80 thousand rupees out of 90 thousand of the complainant were returned.
