Gwalior property tax News: Gwalior (Naiduniya Representative). The Municipal Corporation is busy filling its treasury on the pretext of cleanliness campaign. The burden of garbage duty has been imposed on the public for garbage collection in the city. In this, garbage charges up to one lakh rupees have been collected from hotels, guest houses and marriage gardens according to the area, but vehicles are not being sent here for garbage collection. When the traders are calling the corporation staff and asking them for garbage collection by sending vehicles, they are being asked to deduct a monthly receipt of five thousand rupees. In such a situation, the traders are upset that despite paying the garbage fee, they will have to pay 60 thousand rupees separately annually.
Swachh Survekshan has started from Tuesday. For the last two months, the officers of the Municipal Corporation did many exercises for this survey. In this, along with property tax, garbage fee was also charged on the residents of the city. The direct meaning of the garbage fee is that people pay this fee and it is the responsibility of the municipal corporation to take the garbage from their house. Similarly, the Municipal Corporation has also collected garbage fee from commercial establishments. Now the situation is that in the loop areas like Govindpuri, City Center, Patel Nagar, Saraswati Nagar, Anupam Nagar, the fees ranging from 60 thousand to one lakh rupees have been collected from the hotels, guest houses, marriage gardens, but here the garbage collection has to be done. Cars are not being sent. When these hotel, guest house operators talk to the corporation staff to send the vehicles, they are asked to deduct a receipt of five thousand rupees. Then the garbage collection vehicles will be sent.
new tax, old system
The officers of the Municipal Corporation have imposed a new tax on the public, but the system has been implemented in the old way. In fact, till a few years ago, garbage was not collected from commercial establishments. They were told that if they cut a receipt in the corporation, then the garbage would start coming from their place. In this way, these establishments used to deposit money. Now it is the responsibility of the corporation to collect new tax, but even now, pressure is being made to cut the receipt by keeping the old system here.
The penalty for throwing garbage is a receipt
In fact, the municipal corporation is taking action against the residents of the city who throw garbage in the open. Under this, receipts up to five thousand rupees are being deducted. For this, targets have also been given to the employees. Due to this, these employees are pressurizing to cut the receipt of five thousand to fulfill their target. It is believed that if the vehicles do not come, the commercial establishments will be throwing garbage in the open somewhere. In such a situation, if they cut the receipt themselves, then the vehicle will be sent to them.
This is wrong, we will take action
If the garbage collection vehicles are not going to the commercial establishments in the city center and instead of picking up the garbage, they are asked to deduct the receipt, then it is wrong. You tell me the name of the employee, we will take immediate action. Apart from this, will ensure to reach the vehicle there.

Responsibility of Municipal Corporation for garbage collection
When the garbage fee is being collected from the residents by the Municipal Corporation, the garbage collection is now the responsibility of the corporation itself. The receipt of five thousand rupees is of fine. Establishments paying garbage charges should not pay any more money. When this matter comes to our notice, we will also discuss it.
Dr. Praveen Aggarwal, Mansewi Secretary Chamber of Commerce
Corporation staff asking to cut receipt
I have deposited the garbage fee of 90 thousand rupees in the municipal corporation. Still vehicles are not being sent for garbage collection. When talking to the ward health officer about this, he asked to deduct five thousand rupees monthly receipt. Then the car will come regularly. This is absolutely wrong.
Sitaram Khandelwal, Director Hospitality Guest House City Center
cars are not coming
We have also deposited the garbage fee along with the property tax in the municipal corporation. Despite this, vehicles are not coming for garbage collection. The system of deducting receipt was there when there was no garbage fee. Now if we throw garbage in the open, then there will be a fine.
Naveen Bohre, Director Hotel Muscat
Vehicles not sending
Vehicles are not being sent for garbage collection from commercial establishments in the entire area. Due to non-availability of vehicles, people will be forced to throw garbage in the open and then along with fine, it will also have an impact on Swachh Survekshan.
