Gwalior third line news: Gwalior, New Dunia Rep. No damage will be done to the old buildings of Gwalior railway station in the work of the third railway line being laid from Delhi to Bina. The new line will be matched with the existing track at the station. After completing the work on this track by April, the operation of trains will be started. It was included in the plan of the third railway line that the reservation hall on platform number four and the offices on the side of the narrow gauge track would be demolished, but now these buildings will be saved by changing the plan. Some of these buildings are of state time.
Under the third line project, the work from Banmour to Birla Nagar station has been completed. Soon the railway officials are trying to get the green signal from Dholpur to Birla Nagar by inspecting the commissioner rail safety. The third line will be connected from Birla Nagar to Gwalior railway station, while the work of the third line beyond Sithauli station towards Jhansi end is nearing completion. In such a situation, the question was being raised that how the work would be done in the Gwalior station area. Till now it was expected that the line would be removed from the station area by demolishing the old buildings built towards the number four platform, but now it will not happen. The officials have decided that the third line will be connected to the track laid in the station area, so that the buildings do not have to be demolished. Apart from this, preparations are being made to complete this project by the month of April, so that passengers can get the benefit of the new line at the earliest.
Ease of operation of trains: With the introduction of the third line, the operation of trains will be easy. So far, passenger trains are stopped to remove goods trains, but now the possibility of this will be reduced from the third line. With an additional line, freight trains and passenger trains will run concurrently. At present, in the third line project from New Delhi to Bina, the railways has also started running the train on the third line from Bhandai (Agra) to Dholpur and the work on its forward section up to Birla Nagar has been completed.
