Gwalior Water Problem News: Gwalior (Naiduniya Representative). Under the AMRUT scheme, the water from the water treatment plant built in Jalalpur in the city has been started supplying the water filled in the tanks. Due to this, in the parts of the city where the water of nectar did not reach, now the water of Tigra is reaching instead of boring. On the other hand, due to non-availability of connections given to the people under the Amrit Yojana, water is spreading through the taps of Amrit in most parts. Because people here have not made the connection of these taps.
Under the AMRUT scheme, water is to be supplied to a height of 12 meters in each house by pressure without the use of any equipment. But due to low water pressure, Kilgate, Gwalior, Naka of four cities, Murar, Thatipur, Anupam Nagar, Ladheri, Sanjay Nagar, Maharaj Bada, Lala’s market, Danaoli, Sarafa Bazar, Patel Nagar, City Center, Naka Chandravadni etc. The water is not reaching a height of 12 meters in the areas. Although the water pressure was faster than before, it was not as per the norms of AMRUT scheme. Under the AMRUT scheme, water supply was to be provided in the entire city seven days a week and 24 hours a day. Accordingly, a water treatment plant with water lines and tanks has been built. Now the officials say that supply cannot be done for 24 hours for seven days at present, because the Water Resources Department does not have that much water. For this water will have to be brought from Chambal river. Also other options have to be fulfilled. But due to the supply of water in many parts of the city, the consumption of 3 mcft per day from Tigra has increased.
