Varanasi. Hearing in the case related to Gyanvapi Masjid located in Varanasi, UP will be held in the court of District Judge today. During this, District Judge Dr. Ajay Kumar Vishwesh will first hear the application of the Muslim side. Along with this, objections can also be filed by both the parties on the survey conducted by the civil judge. In the last hearing, however, a week’s time was given to file objections. The Supreme Court transferred the case from the Court of Civil Judge Senior Division to the District Judge. The Muslim side has filed an application against the suit of the Hindu side under Order 7 Rule 11. He has said that the application of the Hindu side should be rejected.
The Hindu side had earlier filed a case for the approval of the worship of Maa Shringar Gauri, allegedly located in the mosque. The case took another form after the court commissioner’s survey report found a shape resembling a Shivling from the mosque’s vazukhana. First the civil judge and then the Supreme Court had ordered to keep the vazukhana sealed. The Muslim side also wants to cancel this order. The Anjuman Inazaniya Masjid Committee says that the cause of Hindus cannot be heard under the Places of Worship Act 1991. He has given 7 more points in favor of dismissing the case.
Today, the district judge can also take a decision on three more applications. In this, on behalf of the Hindus, by breaking the space under the Vazukhana and conducting a survey by the commission. There are applications on behalf of the public prosecutor to preserve the fish found in the pond of Vajukhana and to allow the worship of the former Mahant of Kashi Vishwanath temple, Vice Chancellor Tiwari. All three could not be heard in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division.
