Chandigarh. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya has said that Haryana will be the first state in the country to fully implement the National Education Policy by 2025. Dattatreya was discussing about the developmental schemes being implemented in the state during a courtesy call on President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Monday.
He said that all kinds of infrastructural facilities have been made available in all the educational institutions of the state as per the norms of National Education Policy-2020. During the meeting, he informed that the universities of the state have touched high standards of quality and employment oriented courses have been started for the students in all the universities of the state. For this purpose, the country’s first “Shri Vishwakarma Skill Development University” has also been established in Haryana.
He said that the central government has a target to implement the National Education Policy by 2030, but Haryana aims to implement it only by 2025. He said that work is being done on the concept of imparting education from KG to PG in a single campus in the state. To provide facilities on the lines of private schools, 138 new Government Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary Schools have been opened in the state. The State has also established 1418 Government Model Culture Primary Schools as Centers of Excellence.
He said that incubation centers have been set up in all the universities of the state. Not only this, incubation centers have also been successfully set up in government colleges of five districts and this year incubation centers will be set up in other 17 districts as well.
Giving information about anti-Covid vaccination in the state, Dattatreya said that the Corbvax vaccination campaign for children in the age group of 12 to 14 years has been started by him on March 16. Along with this, the COVID vaccination campaign is already going on successfully. Under this campaign, more than four crore 16 lakh anti-coronavirus doses have been given so far, out of which the first dose has been given to more than 2 crore 30 lakh and the second dose has been given to more than one crore 83 lakh. So far, more than 2.5 lakh precautionary doses have been given to people above 60 years of age in the state. He said that the vaccination work in Haryana has progressed beyond the national average. Due to better vaccination in the state, it has helped in prevention of COVID.
Giving information about women empowerment, security programs, Dattatreya said that in the financial year 2021-22, 3884 self-help groups in the state were provided a revolving fund of Rs.3.88 crore. The rate of subsidy under the Personal Loan Scheme for Women has been increased from 10 percent to 25 percent. In the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program, 1238 Self Help Group Women Enterprises have been formed and financial assistance of Rs.5 crore 25 lakh has been given for setting up the enterprise.
Dattatreya said that the state government was committed to providing a safe environment to women as well as empowering them economically, socially and politically. It has been decided to give 50 percent representation to women in the upcoming elections of Panchayati Raj Institutions. Today, women in Haryana are bringing light not only to the state but to the country by moving ahead in every field.
