New Delhi: A heart-wrenching criminal incident has come to light in Ghaziabad. A mother used to brand or beat her 10 year old daughter with tongs every day. The girl told that her mother’s boyfriend used to rape her repeatedly and her mother also wanted to push her into prostitution. The man has also allegedly sexually assaulted the girl’s 13-year-old brother.
Police officials said that the girl, uncomfortable with the abuses suffered by the man and her mother, had left her home in Ghaziabad on January 20. She was found roaming on the streets of Delhi. Delhi Police handed over the responsibility of taking care of him to the Child Welfare Committee. There the girl’s medical test revealed that she had been raped.

Later the girl told the officials that her father had died four years ago and since then she was living with her maternal grandparents. Last year, his mother had taken his siblings to their home in Ghaziabad. There her mother’s boyfriend repeatedly raped her. The same person had also sexually abused her 13 year old brother. Due to harassment his brother also left home.
The girl said that she was shocked when she came to know that her mother was involved in prostitution after her father’s death. She also wanted to push him into this business when he grew up. An officer of Ghaziabad’s Loni Border Police Station said, the child’s mother and her friend have been arrested.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Loni) Bhaskar Sharma said, ‘The girl has identified her rapist as Raju, a resident of Delhi. Even after the girl went missing, the mother did not lodge a missing complaint.
Police said that the girl was so scared of Raju that she had initially said that her stepfather had raped her. The girl said that her mother and Raju used to torture her to hide the crime so that she would not tell anyone about it, and even beat her with tongs.
