New Delhi. A violent incident took place during the Jalabhishek Yatra in Haryana’s Nuh on Monday (July 31) when a group of Muslim men attacked Hindu devotees. The sad part is that 22-year-old Bajrang Dal district convenor Abhishek Rajput alias Abhishek Chauhan, who had come from Panipat, was killed in the attack.
According to eyewitnesses, Abhishek and his younger brother Mahesh were exiting the Shiva temple when they saw a mob approaching. The mob was armed with swords, guns and stones. The attackers without hesitation started thrashing people and torched vehicles.
Amidst the commotion, the assailants opened fire and Abhishek was hit by the bullet. He immediately fell on the ground. Mahesh shouted for help, but unfortunately, there was no one around to assist him. In a desperate attempt to save his brother, 25-year-old Mahesh tried to take Abhishek to a safer place. But Abhishek could not be saved.
