Most of the states of North India are in the grip of severe heat. Temperatures in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Bihar are reaching 44 degrees Celsius. Along with rising temperatures, heatwaves are also blowing during the day. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert in the capital Delhi and NCR from Monday to Thursday. The Meteorological Department said that heatwave conditions have returned again in different parts of Delhi and NCR on Sunday. In the coming days, the temperature will rise once again in Delhi-NCR and there will be severe heat.
Temperature will cross 46 degree Celsius in Delhi
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 43.21 degrees Celsius on Monday. In the coming days, the maximum temperature will cross 46 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 45.64 degrees Celsius. Along with the increasing heat in Delhi-NCR, heat wave is also expected during the day.
Scorching heat in these districts of Bihar
Many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are in the grip of severe heat. Bihar’s capital Patna is experiencing heat wave during the day with the temperature going above 43 degrees. The local meteorological department has issued a heat wave alert for Vaishali, Sasaram, Siwan, Gopalganj and Saharsa districts. The meteorological department said that the heat will scorch all these districts including the capital Patna for the next three days.
It is raining heavily in these parts of the country
Amid the scorching heat in many states, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a rain alert in other parts of the country. The Meteorological Department said that there will be heavy rain in many districts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and West Bengal. Rain with thunder and lightning has been predicted in the districts of all these states till June 15.
When will the first monsoon rain occur in Delhi and UP?
Monsoon has already arrived in many southern states. Due to this, heavy rains are falling in many parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Monsoon is expected to arrive in many states of North India including the capital Delhi in the last days of June. The Meteorological Department said that monsoon may arrive in Delhi by June 27. The first monsoon rain in Uttar Pradesh may occur between 24 and 25.
