Hero Motocorp Electric Scooter: Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, is going to enter the fast growing EV segment in India. In fact, the company has announced its upcoming electric vehicle brand which will be called VIDA. The company has also revealed the first image of the logo, which shows what the new Hero branding will look like. To recall, the brand called VIDA will be officially introduced with an all-new electric two-wheeler in the country.
The company’s first electric scooter will be revealed in July
Hero MotoCorp said it will introduce the Veida platform, products and services to the Indian market in the next 17 weeks. At the same time, it was also confirmed that the first electric vehicle under the new Vida brand will be revealed on July 1, 2022. It should be noted that July 1 is the birth anniversary of Hero MotoCorp’s legendary Chairman Emeritus Dr. Brijmohan Lal, on which the company has decided to introduce its upcoming vehicle.
The new Vida Electric model will be manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s green manufacturing facility in Chittoor, India. At the same time, the dispatch to the customers will start by the end of 2022. It is reported that instead of converting the existing model to electric, Hero MotoCorp will launch an all-new electric scooter, which will take on the Ola S1, Simple One, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak. At present, it is too early to say anything about the range and price of this scooter, but it is believed that to capitalize on the segment, the company will launch it at a higher range and affordable price than the rivals.
