Hyderabad: The police has taken major action in the case of assault on a family and making objectionable comments on them in front of Mecca Masjid located in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Police have arrested 4 people in the case. The video of the alleged attack has since gone viral on social media.
The incident came to light following the circulation of an undated video clip on various social media platforms. The video shows some individuals instructing the man not to be seen with the woman because of her alleged religious affiliation, questioning the veracity of her identity. Can be heard giving.

In the viral footage, a man is seen with a woman holding a child in her lap near Mecca Masjid. Reportedly, a member of the group verbally attacks the man despite claiming that the woman is his wife and the child is his daughter. The group further demands to see the person’s Aadhaar card.
4 arrested
According to India Today, the four suspects have been identified as Sheikh Ayaan, Syed Firdous, Mohammad. Shabaz and Mohammed Farhan Ahmed were detained on Friday and their mobile phones containing the viral video clip were seized. Police started action on the basis of video evidence. On March 26, at the Charminar police station under sections 295-A of the Indian Penal Code, acts intended to outrage religious feelings, 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and the Juvenile Justice Act. Case registered under relevant sections of IPC.
