New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu today, where he is going to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects. Additionally, he will unveil a new terminal building at Tiruchirappalli International Airport. Developed at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore, this two-storey international terminal has a capacity to serve more than 44 lakh passengers annually, serving around 3,500 passengers during peak hours. Prime Minister Modi’s visit also includes the inauguration of various development projects in aviation, rail, road, oil and gas, shipbuilding and higher education sectors in Tiruchirappalli. The foundation stone of these projects collectively worth more than Rs 19,850 crore will be laid during the visit.
