Rohit Bhatt/ Almora. There is less than a week left for the festival of colours, Holi. Markets in every city have been decorated with colors and pitchers. The aroma of delicious Gujiya is attracting the sweet shops. Some people like to play the festival of Holi with dry colors i.e. Abir-Gulaal, herbal colors etc., while some do not celebrate it without solid colors. The chemicals found in permanent colors cause harm to the skin.
Actually, nowadays the colors available in the market contain chemicals. If you do not take care of your skin while playing Holi, then many types of problems can occur on the skin. In this report, we are going to tell you some tips which you will have to keep in mind before playing Holi. By adopting these tips you can protect your skin from the colors of Holi.
Keep these things in mind
Dr. Naman Lohani, a dermatologist from Almora, Uttarakhand, told Local 18 that you can also apply moisturizer on your face and body on the day of Holi. Even this will not give permanent color to your skin. Apart from this, you can apply Vaseline on your lips, ears and nose. If you apply Vaseline on these small parts, the color does not stick. Those who have long hair should not play Holi with their hair open, make a braid so that their hair does not get damaged. Before playing Holi, apply oil well on the hair so that there is no effect of colors while washing the hair.
Use herbal color
Dr. Naman Lohani further said that if you are allergic to colors, then avoid getting colors applied on Holi. Herbal color can be used a little. Also, it would be good to use glasses while playing Holi. The glasses will keep the color and gulal away from your eyes. Colors can harm eyes by getting into them. Many times, chemical colors even affect eyesight.
