new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lauded the contribution of all retired members of the Rajya Sabha and wished them a bright future. He mentioned the value of the experience of the retiring members and said that their departure adds to the responsibility of the remaining members as they have to carry on the legacy of the outgoing members.
He said that the House reflects the feelings, pain and enthusiasm of all parts of the country. PM Modi said that it is true that as a member we contribute a lot in the house but it is also true that the house also gives us a lot.
“Sometimes academic knowledge has many limits, it is useful in seminars, but the knowledge gained from experience is simple solutions to solve problems. It mixes experience with novelty and in this sense, the use of experience.” It has a great importance.”
PM Modi also said that some members are retiring from the House but they will take their rich experience to every nook and corner of the country.
He also suggested that members should write down their memories as useful references for future generations. Members shape and influence the direction of the country, their memories can be used for the development of the country in an institutional way.
Modi also requested the retired members to inspire people in the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It’s been 75 years since independence. Our great men have given a lot for the country, now it is our responsibility to give them back.
