New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail in a money laundering case related to the liquor scam. However, he has now challenged his arrest in the Supreme Court, which is being heard today i.e. on Monday. Arvind Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail under judicial custody till 15 April. Arvind Kejriwal has been kept in Tihar Jail in such a place where there is tight security by the security personnel and even a bird cannot kill there. Arvind Kejriwal, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi Excise Policy scam, has been kept in Tihar Jail No. 2, where there is constant tight vigil by security personnel and quick reaction teams (QRTs) are ready to take action if needed. Jail number 2 is where there are around 650 prisoners and around 600 of them have been convicted and are under constant CCTV surveillance.

If jail sources are to be believed, Arvind Kejriwal has provided a list of six persons to the Tihar Jail administration, which includes Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his family members, whom he wants to meet in jail. However, Sanjay Singh’s name is not in this list. Till now, his wife Sunita Kejriwal has met Arvind Kejriwal along with his personal secretary. Today i.e. on 15th April, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will meet Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail.
Let us tell you that ED had arrested Arvind Kejriwal on March 21, just a few hours after the High Court refused to give protection from any punitive action by the ED i.e. Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case.
