Cab driver’s arbitrariness will be curbed
But now it seems that the solution to this problem has come. Now if the cab driver cancels your ride, then the driver will not only be fined, but the driver’s license will be canceled for repeating it. That is, now you will be able to make your journey easy by getting rid of this hassle given by the cab driver.
New rule implemented in this state
At present, this rule has been implemented for Bengal, where notification has been issued for cab booking service through the app. Under this rule, there is a provision to impose heavy fines and temporary cancellation of licenses for overcharging by drivers and cancellation of rides. According to the report, cab aggregators will not be allowed to charge more or less than the base fare. If he does so, he will have to pay a fine.

Apart from this, according to the new rule, a cab driver cannot charge a separate amount for a ride of less than 3 km. On the other hand, if the driver cancels the booking, then a 10 percent penalty will be imposed on his ride of Rs 100. Not only this, according to the new rule, the license can be canceled from 10 days to 6 months if the ride is canceled by the cab aggregator.
